My Story
Born in China and originally trained in Information Management and Systems, I worked as a programmer before moving to Scotland to pursue art full time. This journey between two worlds — East and West, past and present — continues to shape my practice.
Drawing is at the heart of everything I do. I begin with observational sketches from life, travel, and memory, which evolve into layered paintings and scrolls that weave together internal and external landscapes. My work often carries a quiet sense of melancholy and nostalgia, exploring how personal and collective memories overlap.
Alongside my fine art practice, I create narrative-based illustrations, including Fragments of Memories — a graphic memoir about migration and belonging, and House of Cats, a playful series inspired by everyday life in Scotland.
I am passionate about using visual art as a means of emotional reflection, creative research, and connection with community and place.
